The laboratory of Experimental Hematology, University of Antwerp, has a longstanding expertise in the study of human dendritic cells (DC) and their role and/or use for immunity in chronic viral infections, cancer and for tolerance in autoimmune disease such as MS. The research of the laboratory of Experimental Hematology on DC entails both basic immunobiology of DC in health and disease, as well as translational and clinical research in clinical disease models.
